Hyundai Verna the premium sedan from Korean car maker has been one of the best selling cars from the manufacturer which has played an important role in strengthening the roots of car maker since its inception. This year car maker launched the refreshed version of this luxurious sedan known as Hyundai Fluidic 4S Verna whereas S representing Style, Safety, Speed and Sophistication. The new Verna Facelift has been launched in both petrol and diesel disguises with starting price of Rs 7.73 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs. 8.94 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Under the hood both variants are offered with two engine options of 1.4 litre VTVT and 1.6 litre VTVT turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.4 litre VTVT petrol engine has displacement capacity of 1396 cc boosting the power of 105.5 bhp and torque of 135.4 Nm. It is mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. Another 1.6 litre VTVT petrol engine has displacement capacity of 1591cc it generates the power of 121.3 bhp and torque of 154.9 Nm. This trim is offered with option of six speed manual transmission system followed by four speed automatic transmission system.

The diesel trim is empowered with 1.4 litre CRDi diesel engine churning the power of 88.7 bhp and torque of 219.9 Nm. Another engine option that is boosted with 1.6 litre turbocharged diesel engine develops the power of 126.32 bhp and torque of 259.8 Nm. Interestingly alike petrol version these engine options are also offered with six speed manual transmission and four speed automatic transmission system. Talking about the pick-up and acceleration of these variants the versions blessed with 1.4 litre VTVT and CRDi engines touch the mark of 100 kmph from standstill within the span of 11 and 12 seconds respectively while the top versions in both trims perform the same performance in the span of 10.62 seconds.

Talking about the exteriors the new Verna Facelift it continues the existing appearance but is equipped with fleet of contemporary exteriors including new headlight cluster with projector headlamps in the top end variants. The radiator grille at the front fascia receives wing shaped look followed by newly developed bonnet. The new front bumper integrates along with abroad air intakes and newly developed fog lamps. The rear portion almost looks the same b ut this time it has been customized with LED brake lights. The other features like boot lid opener, rear bumper are continued from the existing trim of the Verna. The exhaust pipe of new Verna have been hidden and the reflector lamps have been repositioned. Inside the cabin although this sedan get subtle changes but still these changes are impressive and fascinating. The dual tone color scheme is further enhanced with new wooden garnished interiors. The dual colored dashboard is blessed with air conditioner unit, infotainment system. The top end trims are equipped with instrument cluster revealing information like ECO driver indicator, distance to empty. Comfort features offered inside the cabin include power windows, manual air conditioner, electronically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, dual front sun visors, vanity mirrors, tilt adjusting power mutli-functional steering wheel, rear centre armrest, automatic air conditioner, front map lamps,  smart key system and many more.

It would be interested to know that with an objective to offer safe driving experience to the passenger the Verna Facelift has been blessed with ABS+EBD at standard feature. Apart from these features the base variant is equipped with central locking system, day-night inside rear view mirror, engine immobilizer. The mid and top end variants are offered with features dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, projector headlamps, automatic headlight control, automatic door unlock. Apart from these features the top end variant also embellishes features like speed sensing door locks and six airbags.
